• PDF General information
PDF is a flexible cross-platform file format that displays a document identically on any computer system.
It allows to design layouts using any typefaces or graphics, confident that the end user will view the same
layout that was created. It is device and resolution independent.
A program or print driver (Adobe Distiller) is needed to convert a native file into a PDF.
Most of the technical/ printing inconveniences that occur when submitting a native file can
be avoided by creating PDF file. This is why we work with a PDF workflow.
Dependable conversions to a press ready PDF is ideally created with the Acrobat Distiller.
If you do not have an Adobe Acrobat Distiller click on the icon bellow to convert your file.
• PDF guideline
-
Many graphic applications will allow conversion of your files to PDF format.
-
Distilling an electronic document into a PDF does not guarantee a press ready file.
-
If possible, use Acrobat distiller to create a PDF file, created with the job options set to:
high end settings, press quality, press optimised or for best results, PDF/X-1a.
-
Do not use your application's direct export PDF feature (if version has one).
-
Changes in a PDF may be difficult, please proofread and double check your file.
-
Supply documents the size you want them for printing.
-
Keep all fonts at least 1/8" away from the edge.
-
All images should have a resolution of 300 dpi at 100% of final size.
-
If you require bleeds, extend 1/8" on all sides beyond final dimension.
-
Be sure to embed all fonts. If we have to make changes, send all linked graphics and fonts.
-
All images should be saved as TIFF (LZW comp. off) or EPS (for binary files) in
CMYK color mode. Do not use GIF, BMP or others available in your software.

hardware and software versions, all details cannot be provided. We can not be held liable
